Mar 04, 2018 Nuri - July 19, 2015 I've always liked snakes but never in a million years did I think that I would be living with them. I've always had a huge respect for wild snakes and can't stand anyone that would harm them for any reason. But never really thought twice about snakes as pets. In February at the Warrior Goddess Bootcamp HeatherAsh Amara was talking about her snakes and as soon as she said it I had the epiphany that that's what was lacking in my life. Snake energy. I don't know why it never dawned on me before. My Native American sign is the snake. Although I'm also a Scorpio and have no urge whatsoever to have scorpions. I always dream of snakes and am very drawn to them. It took me until the middle of May to get my first snake. (With much persuading from my snake sister). I got a one year old male ball python named Nuri. He came from a family that no longer wanted him. They wanted lizards instead. When I got him I was scared to handle him. He was as gentle as can be but the knowledge and power that snakes carry really intimidated me. Now that we have learned to trust each other we have a bond that can't be broken. So many people say that snakes don't have the ability to love but I don't believe that to be true. I don't think everything has to be scientific. To me love isn't science. Love is energy and everything has energy. This pic is of Nuri curling his tail around me (snakes and humans holding hands) while he takes a nap.
