Cats are believed to be liminal beings.
They're constantly walking between our world and the spirit world.
We currently share our lives with six of these mystical beings.
One came from a high kill shelter in the city.
One was abandoned in the forest as a kitten.
One was living at an auto repair shop with about 20-30 other cats.
We brought her home and found out pretty soon that she was pregnant with two kittens. And there's Michi, the miracle cat.
We found him dodging cars on a 75mph highway in the middle of a Texas summer.
By the time we got to him he was massively dehydrated, bloody and exhausted.
A lot of love, time, food, water, money, vet trips and healing energy later, we have a happy and healthy feline family.
If you feel called to share your life with a cat, please adopt one in need.
Approximately 530,000 cats are euthanized in U.S. shelters every year.
Please don't add to that number by buying from a breeder or pet store.
