(Spun Sugar, Butterscotch, Pumpkin, Marzipan, Altar Flowers)
This oil is inspired by the beautiful Mexican tradition of Día de Muertos. This is a sacred time for honoring ancestors and celebrating the cycles of life and death. During Día de Muertos, sugar skulls (calaveras de azúcar) are lovingly created and offered to deceased loved ones on ofrendas (altars). This Indigenous Mexican tradition, which has been observed for over 3,000 years, is a time of remembrance, celebration, and sacred connection with those who have crossed over.
Sugar Skull is a hauntingly beautiful blend of spun sugar, butterscotch, earthy pumpkin, sweet marzipan and colorful altar flowers. It can be worn as a perfume, used as an anointing oil, or offered at your ancestral altar.
Spun sugar represents the sweetness of life.
Butterscotch evokes comfort, warmth, and protection.
Pumpkin symbolizes abundance and grounding.
Marzipan brings joy and celebration.
Altar flowers honor beauty, life, and the spirit world.
Together, these elements create an oil that honors the memory of loved ones while celebrating the beauty of life.
A Note on Cultural Respect:
Día de Muertos is a sacred Indigenous Mexican tradition. I trest this tradition with deep respect and I encourage learning about its rich history and meaning. This is not a Halloween product. It’s an offering created in the spirit of remembrance and reverence.
